Given that NaBloPoMo itself is really a meme it’s fitting that I end on a meme post. Thanks to secretleaves tagging me, you all get to learn seven more random facts about me, and see which seven NaBloPoMo bloggers I will inflict this on invite to participate.
I thought I didn’t, but I do still have a procrastination problem. Two of my NaBloPoMo posts went up before 9:00pm, and eight went up after 11:00… and I like my bedtime to be at 10. Sad, really.
I’m not ashamed of the music on my iPod, but I probably should be. Some people read trashy books, or watch lots of bad tv… I have Abba, Enrique Inglesias, and Duran Duran. Even some of the new Duran Duran. I can listen to Jimmy Eat World and that ridiculous Apple ad for the Touch song in one go. I have lots of Pink. Anything decent and current I probably first heard in my friend Holly’s car first. Not a lot of classy stuff, though.
I let my cat eat lotion off my legs. Its from Origins, so it doesn’t have evil poison that will kill her. She cries and gets fidgety if I don’t let her, so I think of it as extra exfoliation.
My favorite horror movie type characters are zombies. I thought World War Z was brilliant. Shaun of the Dead was really funny, and 28 Days Later was really creepy. I mean, c’mon, fast zombies? Yikes! (I’ll need to get 28 Weeks Later the next time Lisa is out of town — she does not share my zombie interest.) If you thought I’d say vampires, well, I always like the witches and slayers better.
I used to be a vegetarian, and sometimes think I should be one again. It’s terrible, I know I’m a hypocrite, but still I oscillate between laughing at MEAT IS MURDER tasty, tasty murder t-shirts and telling myself tofu really wouldn’t be so bad. Also, Lisa won’t cook for me if I’m a vegetarian.
I think it is perfectly reasonable, possibly even conservative, to be bringing only three cameras on my vacation. You remember my vacation, right? The Disney World one I’m not apologetic about or rubbing your nose in? I’m taking the Canon S3 IS, the polaroid spectra, and one polaroid 600 film camera that will be a game time decision. Lisa has to bring her own camera, I don’t share well.
After I stopped believing in the tooth fairy, the Easter Bunny, and Santa Claus, I still believed in the Loch Ness Monster, Bigfoot, and the Abominable Snowman. I loved the Loch Ness Monster, was slightly nervous about Bigfoot, and was terrified of the Abominable Snowman in the Rudolph Christmas tv special. I had to see the show, but would hide behind the couch and cry during those parts.
Who are those now-not-needing to post every day folks I will torture? How about MzMullerz, royalrodent.com (for an extra challenge, make them 7 random facts about a photograph too), jamelah, some fancy piece, my friend Holly who refused to get on the NaBloPoMo bandwagon and see how I’m not letting that stop me, my friend Anna who did give it a go, and really she shouldn’t be surprised by this, Krista because InaDWriMo is close enough.
Happy NaBloPoMo, and congrats to everyone who made it through. Take the day off tomorrow, why don’t you?
Sad, I know, to be so close to the end of NaBloPoMo and be reduced to posting a list with very little comment. On the upside, these really are the finest quality links.
I posted a couple of photography book reviews tonight. But because I have separate book review blog, they don’t “count” for NaBloPoMo.
You’ve probably already guessed that I’m telling you about that now because the telling you about it here part does count for NaBloPoMo. I feel like this is sort of, but not really, cheating.
My upcoming vacation next week (which I’m not rubbing your nose in, really, even though I keep mentioning it) isn’t really a reading vacation. That’s weird for me, because I love to read and usually bring a few books when I go away. There is something about Disney World, though, that isn’t conducive to reading… I do love to be out soaking up the lights (everything is decorated for Christmas, and I’m apparently a sucker for happy glowing lights) and taking pictures. I’m not so much into the thrill rides. Pooh is my speed, ride-wise. I did Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, once, and I feel no need to do it again. Also, books tend to get wet in the pool.
Still, there is the plane ride, and possibly some down time when I won’t be fiddling with my cameras, and I do have a massive unread book stack.
What would you read at Disney World?
