I’m so glad you wrote this. I’ve had similar feelings over the past few months. I took my little kids with me to vote on Tuesday and tried to explain to my 6 year old how she was witnessing, living a historic moment. Hope certainly sums up how I’m feeling, relieved to, but not yet comfortable. But hope is incredibly powerful, I believe it will compel people to act.
