Lunaria annua by its other names

Today I took some photographs of part of a money plant I brought home. I noticed it growing on the other side of a chain link fence in my neighborhood, but it was somewhere I couldn’t get to. The other day, I could finally reach one of the windblown plants near the fence and managed to get this little bit.

silver dollars

honesty (day 331)

Mom used to grow these, on the back side of the house, along with Chinese Lantern plants. I always thought it was some kind of magic, the way the plants looked so much better when they were dry and papery instead of soft and green.
