In A Day in the Life: Career Options in Library and Information Science, at the tail end of the Nontraditional section (natch), you can find my chapter about being a Community Evangelist.
I haven’t actually held the book in my hands yet, but the editors (Priscilla K. Shontz and Richard A. Murray) report that they have, so woo hoo! It’s even available on Amazon.
So if you are thinking about going to library school, wondering what else you could be doing with your MLS, or are just idly curious about what certain subtypes of geeks do all day, check it out.
