Don’t get too used it, I’m probably not gonna smile like this every day

I started the 365 days thing today: one self-portrait, every day, for a year. Given that I’d never posted a photo on flickr where you could tell who I was, I figured it would be a good challenge.

It will push me to learn every possible thing my camera can (and can’t) do, and I’ll probably pick up a few photoshop tricks along the way. This year doesn’t hold a milestone birthday or anniversary, and I’m not planning to move or go on a European vacation — no foreseeable major changes. So there is no compelling reason, other than seeing if I can do it and being open to what I’ll discover along the way. I’m thinking of it as sort of a mindfulness exercise.
