Woo hoo! I am now free to move about the globe

In theory, anyway. After more than a decade without one, I have a valid passport again. (A passport isn’t required — yet — to go to Canada, which is why trips to Vancouver and Toronto in the past year weren’t a problem.)

And call me a paranoid crank, but with plans to require
RFID, er, make that “contactless chips” in all passports issued by October 2006, I figured now was a pretty good time to get one.

I have no idea where or when we are going on vacation, but I told Lisa it had to be somewhere they stamped my shiny new passport.
