People search for weird things. Some of them have found there way to my web empire looking for: death due to dirt frogs and spotted jellyfish and a question that I think has no answer, what is it with frogs and gays?
More routine queries included men who are pathological liars, what does it mean when there are a lot of frogs in your neighborhood? and mental anguish.
People apparently have want to see pictures of closed eyes, find out who died in the last Harry Potter book, and get answers from useless Comcast. They want me to provide book reports for them, so they won’t have to read The Lovely Bones or Peace Like a River.
The book report thing gets on my nerves. I had to close comments to Bones, I was getting so many desperate, profanity-laced demands for summaries. Lisa suggested I add a disclaimer to reading notes: “I married an English teacher, dude, I’m NOT going to do your homework.”
I do like that people looking for weird animal facts (kinds of wombats, slow loris habitats, or the size of a coatimundi) can find them here. Then there is the zen wisdom to be found in how to not dwell on anything.
The strange must have some place to turn to, it might as well be 12frogs.com.
