I’ve Been Working on This, You Just Can’t See it Yet

For me, redesigning the blog is the digital equivalent of new notebook shopping. Getting the right notebook (and the right new pen to go with it) is vital. All that writing I could get done if only I had the proper equipment…

Okay, so it never works out quite that way, but that is what I think every time.

You may be wondering why you don’t notice anything different here. I’ve tried — spent many hours tweaking CSS files, considering layout options — but it just hasn’t worked out yet. So no new digital notebook to jumpstart the writing, at least not yet.

Maybe next week. I’ve got some ideas — all CSS t-shirt type size declarations for fonts, losing the pop-up windows for comments and moving them to the end of the invididual entries instead, maybe small image links to what is new on spotted or reading notes — but haven’t had time to test them out yet.

When I started creating web pages, I liked Netscape instead of IE because Micro$oft was Evil and then I discovered that NN 4.x, from a coding perspective, was the evil one. Now IE is the browser that is Evil again, because Safari and Firefox are so much better. Annoying, but at least this way things seem more right with the world.
